If I supply my own (purchased elsewhere) fixtures/taps/light fixtures, will Stevenson Plumbing & Electric install them for me?

Yes, but the installation will be at your own risk. We cannot be responsible for the suitability of the product, its compatibility and any missing or not included parts. We will warrant our work but not warrant the product itself.

How can I prevent my pipes from freezing in the winter?

Install a trace heat line on the exposed pipes and then have us insulate the pipe.

How can I keep my water bill down?

Simple details like leaky faucets and constantly running toilets waste more water than you think. Fixing these problems can make a huge difference in your water bill.

My furnace has broken down – what should I do?

Check the outside exhaust pipes for frost buildup. Then check to make sure the furnace filter is clean. Finally, check that the furnace is powered on. If that doesn’t work, give us a call we’re here to help. In order to avoid future issues, make sure to schedule annual maintenance including cleaning and servicing.

How can I reduce my excess hydro usage?

You can put in a Lutron lighting system, allowing light to be operated on dimmer at a lower electrical usage. You could also use eco saver light bulbs and LED lights or change the electrical panel from fuses to breakers. If all else fails, upgrade your electrical appliances to the new, more efficient models.

I’m having issues with my generator – what should I do?

The first thing to do is check that there is fuel for the generator. If there isn’t, call us to set up the repairs. In the future, set up annual maintenance appointments including full inspection and an oil change to keep your generator running properly.
